Chef De-Partie based in Bildeston (Near Hadleigh, Suffolk) working a 45 hour week.
Paying between £19000 - £21000 depending on experience.
A 15th century, former coaching inn set in a Suffolk village, one of the historic “wool towns” and just a 20 minute drive from both Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.
Known for its stylish yet relaxed accommodation, the inn has 12 en suite doubles, each with its own individual character, a 120 seater restaurant, a private meeting room, bar area with beams and open fire and a courtyard and terrace for al fresco dining.
Food is an integral part of experience and Head Chef, who owns the business with his wife, has an excellent reputation for his signature, innovative style.
Quality produce, sourced primarily locally, is used when in season and diners can choose from a range of menus: Classics which features regular favourites, Select which changes with the seasons, a midweek Set lunch offering great value for money and perhaps the ultimate dining experience – Chef's Tasting Menu.
Working an average 42-45 hours per working week.
Working within a team of 6 in the Kitchen.
Accommodation available - £30 per week inclusive of bills.
This position is ideal for someone looking to progress in their career. In this position, your flair for high standards of food preparation and superb presentation are called for.
You will also work in all food areas within the hotel, assisting the other chefs in both the restaurant and banqueting kitchens and take care of a broad range of other duties.
You will be knowledgeable in kitchen management including exceptional levels of food hygiene and health & safety. You will be passionate about delivering quality and consistency throughout.
But above all, you will demonstrate enthusiasm, a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn and develop and be a team player.
