Want to lead the SEO content activity for one of the fastest growing online retailers in the UK? Like the idea of working with a friendly team within the Essex countryside? 

As a passionate content expert you will lead our newly formed content SEO subteam, develop the strategy to implement world-class SEO initiatives to drive traffic, revenue and new customers via the website and mobile. 

You will collaborate with teams across the business to advocate SEO and ensure strong performance. Above all, you are passionate about the prospect of developing scalable strategies to improve the organic search performance of a ast-growing business. 

As an integral member of the marketing team, the key remit of this role is to create an SEO content strategy that helps achieve the business' goals by maximising the commercial impact of content. 

Responsibilities: 
- Managing the SEO content strategy across the business, working closely with other parts of the SEO team and the further business to ensure all activity is SEO optimised 
- Creating educational & informational content to aid the on-site customer journey 
- Writing engaging content and copy for a variety of audiences whilst developing an emotional connection through tone of voice in line with the brand 
- Ensure the SEO content roadmap is delivered through different teams, working closely with them to ensure resource allocation 
- Regular reviewing content performance across the business, defining key metrics that drive SEO content performance and translating these into meaningful objectives for the department 
- Working closely with Head Copywriter to create over-arching content strategy for the business 
- Coordinating the SEO content budget spend to maximise the return on investment on all campaigns 
- Leading the SEO Content team (2 x assistants) to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery of team objectives 
- Training new team members in both theory and in practice 
- Produce best practice guidelines and provide on-going training of other teams (PR, Social, Copy) within Amara about the role of SEO in their work and how it can benefit them 
- Keep up to date with SEO tools, web technology and Google’s algorithms and how they affect SEO 

Experience & Skills: 
- 1-2 years content writing experience 
- Thorough understanding of SEO, and experience of using SEO techniques and tools to optimise content for search 
- CMS Experience, particularly Wordpress 
- Excellent grammar, copywriting experience and meticulous attention to detail 
- Proven experience writing and editing high quality, user-centric digital content for websites 
- Experience of working in a high pressure, deadline-oriented digital team 
- Experience of using Google Analytics to measure and improve performance 
- Proficient user of SEO tools for task such as keyword research (SEMrush, Majestic SEO, Buzzsumo, etc) 

The Person: 
- Passionate about SEO and content 
- Enjoys and is comfortable working in an extremely fast paced environment 
- Flexible, keen to take responsibility and common sense to prioritise their work with little supervision 
- A creative do-er. Someone that questions existing ways of doing things, and likes coming up with new well-thought approaches 
- Very high attention to detail 
- Results-oriented and strong sense of ownership of projects 
- An interest in interior design is desirable
