Forklift Driver

We are recruiting for Machine Operator to work for our client based in Halstead Essex. 

This role will be temporary on-going with a view to go permanent. 

This will be working on a shift pattern 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm.

This role is Monday- Friday paying £8.50 per hour.

Just Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a Production Operative for our well established client based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds. 

The focus of the role is to be an active member of the production team and to make sure you comply with all the site procedures, as well as ensuring the safe operation of the site packing lines to effectively and efficiently manufacture products. 

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Conducting start-up checks, operating the line machinery to pack products as well as close down checks
• To carry out basic fault finding and problem solving
• To accurately record all due diligence and other operational data as require
• To comply with operational, health, safety and environmental safety procedures. 

This role is on a 3 week rotating shift pattern with day, evening and night shifts. 

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Previous production experience
• Self-motivation
• The ability to work well in a team
• The ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure. 

This role is a fixed-term contract for approximately 9 months and is starting ASAP.

Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen as we now wish to appoint a Despatch Administrator/Shunter Driver to work with our Despatch team based at our poultry and red meat processing factory in Eye, Suffolk.

Successful candidates will:

• Be numerate and literate and have good computer skills particularly with Excel
• Demonstrate an ability to work accurately
• Be able to cope with heavy manual work including lifting
• Have proven ability to work as part of a team
• Have willingness to learn
• Have excellent organisational skills
• Demonstrate a responsible attitude to work
• Work in this role will including shunting trailers (training will be provided)
• Ideally have a forklift certificate, although full training will be given

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications:

Ideally candidates for this role will have a forklift certificate and preference will be given to candidates who already have this and have previous experience in a similar role. Training will be given though in all aspects of the role. Successful candidates will need to have a driving licence so that they can obtain a shunter driving licence.

Terms and Conditions:

• Shifts worked are Monday to Friday, with flexibility around working hours required
• Overtime hours often available at premium rates
• On-site canteen serving hot and cold food and drinks

Just Recruitment are currently looking for 2 experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join a family owned organisation based in Sudbury, on a full-time permanent basis. 

The 2 positions available are as follows: 

Forklift Driver 1 

• Working Monday – Friday 9am-5pm 
• £8.00 per hour plus £1.00 shift allowance (£9.00 per hour) 

Forklift Driver 2 

• Working Monday – Friday Week 1 – 6am-2pm 
• Week 2 – 9am-5pm 
• £9.00 per hour plus £1.00 shift allowance (10.00 per hour) 

Must have excellent communication skills and computer literate At least 2+ years.

Counterbalance experience required.

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Working together with the technical team to assess product problems and refer to relevant management
• Checking that raw materials or components involved in the production process are of suitable quality
• Inspecting production machinery and employees to make sure the production process runs smoothly
• Suggesting improvements to company infrastructure and processes to prevent future mistakes during production
• Communicating with other departments such as project management and engineering to coordinate scheduling for quality checks
• Reporting discovered defects to all relevant departments for correction
• Conforming to regulations and international standards when it comes to testing and quality control

The successful candidate must have:

• Good English speaking skills
• Good English reading and writing skills
• Able to work flexible working hours

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous but not necessary because training will be provided.
