Due to continued growth our client based near Maldon, Essex are looking to appoint a highly professional and commercially astute Internal Sales Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day‐to‐day management of the spare parts and complete filters departments allowing other senior staff members to focus on customer relationships and sales growth.

The Successful Candidate will:

  • Have experience managing a team with fantastic people management and leadership skills
  • Have experience in a sales environment
  • Have good knowledge of sales processes from customer quotation through to dispatch
  • Have a technical mind with a thirst for knowledge of our products
  • Be able to work on their own initiative
  • Be customer focused, organised and reliable with attention to detail
  • Conduct themselves in a professional manner and have a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Be driven and eager to learn
  • Be commercial aware and able to add value
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Have good IT skills with experience working with ERP software

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing both the spare parts and complete filters departments from the customer’s first point of contact, enquiries, orders (including contracts) through to despatch / delivery
  • Personnel management (2/3 direct reports)
  • Supporting the business in growth and improved performance / profitability
  • Providing document control during equipment approval process by way of project management
  • Providing excellent customer service to our clients
  • Ensuring smooth logistics and minimising order to delivery lead time
  • Stock management including the preparation of accurate stock forecasts to ensure maximum availability and the investigation of stock anomalies
  • Creating market awareness of “genuine” spare parts and brand building
  • Assisting the marketing department with spare parts and complete filters campaigns
  • Attending and contributing at various company meetings
  • Any other relevant responsibilities as instructed by the senior management

The successful candidate will be happy to be hands on within the sales departments and complete day‐to‐day operational tasks, which include:

  • Preparing and sending customer quotes
  • Receiving and processing customer orders
  • Purchasing from suppliers
  • Supporting the warehouse in the dispatch of goods
  • Dealing with customer returns and credit notes
