This is a fast track developmental role with high potential for promotion within 6 months, therefore candidates need to have sufficient potential for leading and managing the resourcing unit within our Client's office, after a 6 month successful initial period. 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

  • Ideally experienced at working within a recruitment agency sourcing and placing contractor staff, especially those in financial services 
  • Good understanding of the financial services contractor market and its needs i.e. recruitment & placement of contractors for client project work. 
  • Some experience in facilitating vetting and referencing checks for staff (particularly contract staff and limited companies) 
  • Confident interviewing and people skills. Demonstrable experience in interviewing staff face-to-face, and identifying key strengths and weaknesses of candidates 
  • Good client relationship management competence/experience 
  • People management experience, leadership skills and/or high potential for this within 6 months of starting 
  • General business IT skills and good with spreadsheets 
  • Highly motivated proactive self-starter 
  • Well organised with good time management capability 
  • Flexible and can work under pressure with short term peaks of work 
  • Willing to travel if needed occasionally for interviewing candidates and meetings at other Group offices UK wide 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Ideally graduate level or equivalent with relevant qualifications e.g. HR qualifications 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Sourcing, selecting and onboarding contractor staff onto new/existing projects with clients of our CLient, plus managing any changes, movements and redeployments. 

1. Contractor search 

  • Finalising role requirements with account managers and client 
  • Advertising for contract staff using email (from mailing list database), website and social media 
  • Implement new and improved sourcing/advertising methods to extend reach 


2. Contractor selection 

  • Reviewing and analyzing CV's/applications to shortlist candidates 
  • Submitting suitable candidates to clients 
  • Organising interviews and assessments (if required) for candidates as requested by the client 
  • Conducting initial candidate interviews to assess for basic suitability for shortlists and hygiene factors e.g. right to work in UK 
  • Offering advice to both clients and candidates on rates/role fit 

3. Onboarding 

  • Completing contracts for placed contractor staff (using standard templates) 
  • Working with client to arrange joining logistics 
  • Oversee onboarding plans to ensure candidates start projects in line with client needs 
  • Vetting & Referencing (working with 3rd party Verifile to conduct checks) 
  • Briefing candidates 

4. Project Staff Management 

  • Proactively monitoring and managing projects/assignments to ensure contractor retention and extensions 
  • Completing contract extensions for placed contractor staff (using standard templates) 

5. Knowledge and development 

  • Stay up-to-date on any key changes to contract labour legislation/regulations that may affect our business 
  • Continuous review/improvement of resourcing policy/process to ensure effectiveness of selection techniques and recruitment approaches
