• You will have relevant qualifications and experience in the automotive, hydraulics or aeronautical industries.

You will be leading assigned technical projects, executing the different technical activities that are required to support a customer (or set of customers). Examples include preparing and presenting the design reviews, hosting regular team meetings, participating in and organising customer meetings as well as following customer-specific requests.

Role will include:

• Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation for internal and customer use.
• Present technical status in internal reviews and with customers and suppliers.
• Apply engineering standards, procedures, and methodologies to execute project activities.

Analyse technical gaps in requirements by reviewing:

• Specifications and BOMs.
• DFMEA generic vs Application specific.
• Use of Simulations, 3D CAD models and 2D Engineering drawings with the core team.

Create a development plan for product/system by:

• Defining BOM content and design activities based on core products for all phases of the project.
• Identifying application-specific feature requirements.
• Define validation plan to meet requirements.
• Track and coordinate engineering activities to project timing requirements (PDP).
• Prepare Product / System release documentation.
• Assess risk using established FMEA methods.
• Lead design preparation and design reviews as per PDP plans and project timing.

Key requirements:

Mandatory

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a suitable engineering or business discipline.
• Proven experience of working with customers.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information at all levels of the business.
• Significant product knowledge of FIE components or systems.

Desirable

• Fluent in English, French or German, depending on the localisation.
• Project Management experience.
• Ability to apply FMEA methodology is highly desirable.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity role.

Working hours and rate of pay:

• Monday to Friday.
• 23.00 to 07.00.
• £16.25 depending on experience.
• You will be starting on days for training, before switching to nights, so flexibility is a must. During training, you will be on £13 an hour.
