Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Skilled Operator Logistics /Warehouse Operator Logistics to join a well-established, forward-looking, independent family-run company based in Witham.

For this role, you will be working with teams across the business to ensure the smooth movement of materials on and off-site.

Hours: 39 hours/4-5 days per week.

The overall purpose of the job:

Responsible for the unloading and load of tankers and associated operations. Liaising with suppliers, hauliers and CST (customer service team) to ensure all internal and external customer requirements are met.

Key areas of responsibility:

Operations

  • Controlling of tanker movements on to, and away from the site.
  • Competent in weighbridge controls.
  • Ensure the prior load matrix is understood and adhered to.
  • Load and unload and tankers, as per standard operating procedures.
  • Involvement in Behavioural audits.
  • EMCS / paperwork completion.
  • Book stock onto HICS.
  • Involved in writing risk assessments & procedures.
  • Involvement in the end of month reconciliation.
  • Write, implement, and adhere to ISO and BRC procedures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IES system & Product routing.
  • Liquid transfers and sample collection.
  • In conjunction with scheduler, order & schedule Tankers, ensure we are able to receive & store safely

SHE (Safety, Health & Environment):

  • Correct any unsafe practices. Immediately address unsafe conditions.
  • Report accidents & incidents. Ensure personal involvement in investigating accidents/incidents in your area.
  • Promote SHE activities and target ‘zero accident behaviour’
  • Conduct risk assessments in your area.
  • Intervene if employees, contractors or visitors are putting themselves or others at risk

Quality:

  • Ensure ISO procedures are up to date and followed.
  • Work with others to improve the Housekeeping on site.
  • Perform periodic audits of 5S/BRC/ISO standards within all areas.
  • Perform & record tests on products as required.
  • Report all non-conformances (complete paperwork as required)
