The Finance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with various administrative duties and assisting with the preparation of financial reports, as well as other duties related to the Finance department.

Duties include:

  • Taking ownership of monitoring the purchase ledger inbox.
  • Controlling incoming posts, scanning and distributing to the correct individual.
  • Processing invoices.
  • Dealing with supplier queries.
  • Raising self-bills and supplier statements.
  • Arranging supplier weekly and monthly payments to ensure timely settlement.
  • Answering incoming supplier calls efficiently, with a positive attitude.
  • Assist with the maintenance of key accounting software.

Requirements:

  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for use internally and externally.
  • Dynamic problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with Xero is preferable.

Just Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and successful business in Witham to recruit a Customer Service Administrator to join their long-standing team.

You will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service to regular customers and internal customers such as production, accounts, transport and the sales team. Work to key KPI’s to ensure the highest levels of customer service are maintained and improved upon.

Duties include:

  • Vet customer orders ready for processing onto the system. This includes applying the correct delivery dates to suit the customer's requirements whilst ensuring it fits in with the production dates, capabilities and delivery areas.
  • Answering the telephone within 3 rings and having an enthusiastic attitude to deal with and resolve customers' queries or issues in a timely manner.
  • Proactively chase customers to resolve queries if they have not come back with a response. Ensure all verbal correspondence is confirmed in writing and the system is updated with correct information.
  • Support the end-of-month invoicing procedure, investigate and find any missing delivery notes.
  • Routinely speak to key accounts and regular customers to grow a productive working relationship with them. 

Key skills required:

  • Exceptional customer service skills — you must have a friendly and positive phone manner.
  • Energetic, self-driven and motivated.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to continually multitask.
  • Ability to prioritise your time to plan and organise your day.

Just Recruitment is partnering with a company in Braintree to recruit a Manufacturing Project Engineer.

You will be responsible for planning, leading and executing manufacturing projects, including new product introductions, process improvements, equipment installations, and facility upgrades and collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Production, Supply Chain) to ensure successful project execution.

Duties include:

  • Being the technical lead for a multitude of various technologies, machines, and value streams to assist Process Primes in the development and improvement of processes within the production environment.
  • Project manage capital equipment projects from justification through to implementation.
  • Managing tooling, fixture design and manufacture to support production needs.
  • Lead Process Capability, Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities within the Manufacturing environment.
  • Carry out measurement systems analysis, using type 1 and type 2 studies on gauging and measurement systems to improve gauge R&R.
  • Be an integral part of a design team, helping to brainstorm ideas and help facilitate actions by carrying out CAD modelling, concept refinement and procurement activities.

Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or project engineering role (preferably in a related industry, e.g. automotive).
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimisation techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g. MS Project).

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday:7.30am to 4.00pm.
  • Friday: 7.30am to 3.00pm.
  • 39 hours per week.

Duties include:

  • Manage tooling and fixture design and their manufacture, to support production needs.
  • Design lead for R&D activities, assisting with converting concept models to manufactured parts, through design for manufacture and design for assembly principles.
  • Produce and manage product drawings and layouts for new products, tooling and gauging to allow internal or external manufacturing.
  • Manage and maintain the drawing modification process and document database.
  • Assist Process Primes in the development and improvement of processes within the production environment.
  • Recognise opportunities to adapt and adopt technologies across processes.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement activities within the Manufacturing environment.
  • Analyse existing products and look for opportunities to aid manufacturing and reduce costs.
  • Conduct and participate in team briefings, workshops and training to ensure smooth integration of new processes, equipment and systems to the production teams.

Skills required:

  • Good understanding of maths.
  • Ability to lead, manage and engage with different levels of the business from Directors to the shop floor.
  • Excellent organisation, administrative and communication skills.
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Production Engineering.
  • Understanding of both the imperial and metric measurement systems and able to convert between them.
  • Understanding of precision, working to 0.001 of a millimetre.
  • Conversant with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • CAD/CAM experience, ideally in SolidWorks.

Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 7.30am to 4.00pm.
  • Friday: 7.30am to 3.00pm.
  • 39 hours per week.
