Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join a manufacturer based in Braintree, Essex.
For this role, you will have a keen interest in all aspects of quality assurance.
Scope:
Investigate, analyse and resolve quality problems by conducting audits, analysing defect trends and leading continuous improvement projects whilst maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
- Adhere and work to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements as stipulated within the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
- Support ISO9001 certification through auditing and QMS management
- Complaint investigation and resolution including route cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Completion of FMEA and R&R documentation.
- Actively participate in project activities regarding controls, testing, and inspection.
- Support the Engineering Change process as an author, approver, and facilitator as required.
- Generate and maintain control plans and inspection instructions.
- Manage CAPA processes and product control.
- Review and approve technical documents and process documentation.
- Participate in problem-solving and Continual Improvement activities, and lead where required.
- Support Supplier Quality Engineers with supply chain development.
- Product compliance testing and reporting.
- Support BIT and cost-reduction processes.
- Undertake any assignment or duty as required by business needs.
Qualifications:
- HNC, or equivalent, in an Engineering Discipline.
- Internal auditing (Ideally ISO: 9001).
- Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality Engineering role within a Manufacturing environment.
Desirables:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Understanding of project management (experience preferred).
- Knowledge of various quality system methodologies 8D, Lean, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, etc.
