About the role

Just Recruitment is recruiting for an Internal Sales person to join a company based in Dunmow, Essex.

The role will involve frontline handling of customer enquiries including promoting the company services, quoting, following up and chasing bookings.

Telesales, Sales or a Sales-type background is preferred and it is vital that you are confident in dealing with customers and cultivating client relationships, capitalising on commercial opportunities to achieve the company's sales targets.

Duties will include:

  • Provide a high level of customer sales support for quote requirements.
  • Build, support and develop regular, established business.
  • Be involved in the decision-making regarding rates and margins for new and existing business.
  • Maximise sales by upselling on incoming and outgoing calls.
  • Identify opportunities for the external sales team.
  • Proactive follow-up of quotations, new customers, 1st job customers, old inactive customers, and other reports with a focus on generating bookings.
  • Proactive telephone contact with both existing and prospective customers.
  • Review and respond to ongoing clients' volumes and volume trends.
  • Assist with marketing activities.


Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 18.00. However, the company runs a shift system for the team - rotating through the following: 08.00 to 17.00, 08.30 to 17.30 and 09.00 to 18.00.

Duties will include:

  • Providing support to the Commercial Managers who negotiate agreements with the suppliers.
  • Liaising directly with the Commercial Director and completing administrative tasks as and when they are required.
  • Delivering guidance to both Managers and Estimators in their pricing and queries.
  • Working alongside the Product File Team to create pricing structures that enable the sales staff to trade competitively.
  • Various other report writing and analytical duties as required.
  • Providing a point of contact for the suppliers to help deliver their message to the staff and customers.
  • Balancing multiple projects at once and ensuring that deadlines are met.

Experience in a similar role and a confident level of IT competency is preferred, preferably working with large amounts of data using Excel.

Your key personality traits would be a high attention to detail, a keen grasp of numbers and an enthusiastic, dynamic, ‘can do’ attitude.
