Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Reliability Engineer on behalf of a small to medium-sized plant, which forms a part of a large multibillion-dollar, global organisation, based in Stowmarket.

You will be reporting to the Maintenance & Technical Services Superintendent and will under general supervision provide technical advice and guidance to ensure reliability and sustainability of all machinery at an appropriate cost. The role will also involve monitoring and reporting on the plant’s compliance with statutory, best practice and technical standards requirements – compiling and maintaining the site’s technical documentation.

You will be required to:

  • Draft, review and otherwise maintain the site’s technical documentation, including technical drawings, manuals, maintenance procedures and service records.
  • Support site projects with technical advice, contractor management and document review.
  • Drafting and maintenance of site technical standards, e.g. specifications for new equipment, wiring guidelines, infrastructure management etc.
  • Continuous evaluation of plant performance, including preparation of weekly Key Performance Indicators, and preparation of quarterly reports.
  • Preparation of case files for ongoing downtime events.
  • Auditing of installations and infrastructure against technical standards.
  • Collaborate with international colleagues to ensure sharing of best practices and procedures.
  • Monitor market and industry developments for new technological opportunities.
  • Management of inventory levels for spare and replacement parts.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned according to the needs of the business.

Essential requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in English concerning job assignments, job procedures and applicable safety standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience OR Master’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline and two (2) years related experience.

Preferable requirements:

  • Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, Osisoft PI, MS Office and SharePoint.
  • Experience with heavy industrial machinery applications including crushers, conveyors and electric motors.
  • Experience in the operation of MEWPs, Scissor Lifts and FLTs.
  • Experience with industrial control technologies, particularly PLCs.
  • Experience in leading teams in the completion of technical projects.
  • Experience in data analysis.
