This role will support design and development activities as well as manufacturing and aftermarket support for a full range of diesel high-pressure fuel pumps.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design of diesel fuel injection components, predominantly high-pressure pumps.
- Produce creative design solutions to fulfil current and future business needs.
- Interpret sim and test results and propose design improvements and concept solutions.
- Establish networks within the organisation for establishing the feasibility of designs for manufacture, supplier and assembly.
- Have a cost conscience for supplier and manufacturing impacts when developing design solutions.
- Design and prepare concept 3D graphical models.
- Understand detailed engineering drawings, interpreting the latest geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices.
- Contributing to formal and informal design and development reviews at appropriate stages of PDP projects.
- Design and work within high-precision manufacturing technologies required to produce advanced prototypes.
- Be able to make assessments of designs using established DFMEA methods to develop a robust product.
Qualifications and experience include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a suitable engineering or business discipline.
- 5-10 years’ experience (preferably).
Key skills include:
- Knowledge of DFMEA methodology.
- Ability to operate SolidWorks CAD package.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Knowledge of design analysis tools, Pugh, VA/VE or similar.

This is a shift-based role across seven days, involving:
- Operating food manufacturing machinery
- Updating paper records and entering data into IT systems
- Performing cleaning duties to maintain hygiene standards
- Working independently for the majority of the shift
Role responsibilities will include:
- Operating filling equipment, a cooler and a product storage plant
- Liaison with staff to determine availability of raw materials
- Movement of product to the final store
- Sampling of the product
- General cleanliness of production areas, conveying equipment, coolers, etc.
- Record keeping in line with quality procedures
Experience in production line operation in the food and beverage sector and knowledge of HACCP would be advantageous.

This role has a rotating day shift pattern - Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 2.30pm and 9.30am to 6.00pm.
Please note that during busy periods this role will also support production areas of the business that will cover working lates, earlies and weekends. (Shift allowance and full training will be provided.)
Duties will include:
- Checking certificates of analysis
- Completing bulk vehicle and container inspection reports
- Ensure that samples are collected and delivered to the laboratory
- Liaise with hauliers to ensure the efficient operation of the weighbridge
- Weigh in and out of bulk lorries and containers
- Use of computerised systems to include stock transfers, production orders
- Completing all associated paperwork accurately and clearly
