Just Recruitment seeks a Foundry Labourer/Operative for a company based in Braintree, Essex.

The role will require close coordination with various departments including, Goods In/Out and the factory.

The main responsibilities in this role are as follows:

  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles manually (if required).
  • Using an industrial hoover to clean areas.
  • Labouring – removing metal parts from sand moulds and placing sand in the recycling plant.
  • General labouring – sweeping, emptying bins, clearing areas.
  • Operating cranes to weigh and move parts.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Participate in company safety initiatives.
  • Work to provide results in a timely manner in accordance with planned dates/times.
  • Assist with improvements (Lean 5s) to procedures, equipment, operating methods etc. to increase efficiency.

You will be comfortable using Email, Word and Excel.

Having a Forklift Licence will be advantageous for this role.

Ideally, you will display the following attributes:

  • Ability to use initiative to plan workload when required.
  • Strong team player and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance and process control.
  • Used to working in a heavy Industrial Engineering Environment.

About the role

Just Recruitment seeks a Workshop Operative for a company based in Braintree, Essex. This is a four-day working role.

The position will involve working within a small team to assist in general engineering workshop duties. The role will likely involve varying tasks as required.

The tasks you might have but are not limited to include:

  • Drilling/countersinking
  • Making drill jigs
  • Shot blasting
  • Fettling (Grinding) with angle grinders
  • Plasma cutting
  • Cutting
  • Straightening material
  • Application of resins to metal
  • Using hand tools files etc.
  • Reading drawings and QA documents
  • Completing QA documents and final inspection
  • Packing materials

Training will be required and given. Engineering hands-on experience is needed. Please note that this position involves heavy lifting all day.

The above hours are set, however, you may be requested from time to time to work additional hours so a flexible approach is preferred.
