Just Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a company’s Multi Spindle Automatic lathe(s) cell, running and setting various Multi Spindle Automatic lathes. These are CAM Autos, not CNC.

Hours of work:
4 day working week

Early shift:
Tuesday to Thursday, 06:00 to 16:30.

Friday 06:00 to 15:30.
39-hours.

Late shift:
Monday to Wednesday, 11:30 to 22:00.

Thursday, 11:30 to 21:00.
39-hours.

Scope:

Working as part of a small team responsible for the safe operation of multi-spindle automatic lathes in accordance with the tools list and work instructions.

Loading bars, setting and operating to meet the desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection, checking against drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production to the highest standards.

Skills:

  • Able to set and operate Multi Spindle Automatic lathes. (Non CNC).
  • Proficient in a range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to apply good practical skills.
  • Ability to follow written instructions.
  • Training will be provided to add and enhance skills as required.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team.

The company ensures that flights are safe by providing essential maintenance and repair activities for life-saving evacuation equipment, oxygen systems and in-cabin equipment for customers across the aviation industry. You’ll join a team of hardworking individuals who put safety at the forefront of everything they do.

Job purpose:

Working within the Evacuation Systems team you will be carrying out essential maintenance and repair activities on evacuation equipment and components. You’ll be working in accordance with the relevant CMMs and procedures regarding the servicing of equipment to carry out routine and manual inspections of evacuation equipment including life rafts, escape slides and helicopter floats. Ensuring that all quality, health, safety and environmental requirements are met at all times, identifying and reporting any issues that arise during the process.

Essential requirements:

Experience working on A320 and A321 NEO Evacuation Systems.

About you:

  • In order to be successful in this role you will need to have the following:
  • Previous experience in a hands-on technical or maintenance role
  • Previous experience using hand tools, carrying out surveys and inspecting for damage
  • Ability to work with, understand and follow technical documentation including maintenance manuals and regulations
  • Previous experience working within a fast-paced and busy environment
  • Good levels of IT skills, experience in using in-house computer systems to log and record work
  • High levels of literacy and numeracy skills and good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse and identify faults

Scope:

  • Loading and operating machines to meet desired quantities.

Additional hours at overtime rates are available to suit business demands.
