About the role

Just Recruitment is looking for a Sales Administrator to join the team of a busy manufacturer, based in Braintree, Essex.

Working Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30 or 08:30 to 17:00, both with a 30 minute lunch break

The main focus of the role will be to liaise with customers, process orders, and provide administrative support as and when required.

Daily duties will include the following:

  • Processing customer orders and making necessary amendments
  • Sending customers their order acknowledgements and corresponding documents
  • Maintaining and exceeding customer service level standards with current and new customers
  • Matching up returned delivery notes to batch paperwork and invoices
  • Liaising with transport regarding customers deliveries
  • Liaising with production/warehouse regarding product and order lead times
  • Support with the website customers’ orders and updates
  • Support with the customer shipment process
  • Assisting with any other admin duties

GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C and above is required, with a good level of data entry experience.

Manufacturing industry experience would be advantageous.

Goods In – Dispatch Officer

Just Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Goods In - Dispatch Officer for its client based in Braintree, Essex.

You will work as a member of the Stores, Goods In and Dispatch team, receiving and storing stock items, maintaining accurate records of the company’s stocks and distributing materials to colleagues according to requisitions.

This will also involve liaising with customers including UK and overseas agents and airlines.

in order to arrange delivery of freight to its final destination, gathering and providing both air and sea freight costings and quotations.

Duties will include:

  • Receiving and counting stock items, and entering that information onto the in-house computer system
  • Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves, storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in the inventory
  • Dealing with any issues that arise in relation to stock items
  • Performing regular inventories to assess stock levels and verifying inventory data by carrying out physical counts of stock
  • Carrying out daily stores, dispatch and goods in tasks, using the forklift truck (or other equipment) to move goods/materials, assisting with the loading/unloading of goods/materials. Moving goods/materials into the dispatch area
  • Issue and distribute materials, parts and supplies to the workshop based on information from incoming requisitions.

Production Manager

Just Recruitment is recruiting for a Production Manager on behalf of a company based in Braintree, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a varied project workload and there is excellent scope for progression.

You will run the Production Department and team. Your job is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Production Department. You will take full responsibility for every order from the issue of production documents to delivery to the customer.

Management responsibilities:

  • Responsible for H&S of the workshop and machinery within the department.
  • Responsible for training of workshop team.
  • Schedule and allocate works to your team to ensure production targets are met.
  • Complete a monthly report for Directors for your department advising on Production Department and any CAPEX items required detailing why and any savings expected from investments.
  • Maintain stock levels of critical consumable items PPE, Tools, manufacturing consumables etc.
  • Maintain QA procedures as per company Quality System.

You will ideally display the following attributes:

  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively
  • Strong team working and interpersonal skills but also able to work on your own initiative
  • Organised and tidy
  • Ability to learn as you go
  • Ability to solve problems effectively

Skills, experience & qualifications:

  • Minimum qualification to NVQ Level 3 Advanced in Mechanical Production Engineering (Craft and Technician) but ideally HNC or HND level and above
  • Management or Supervisory Training e.g. ILM level 3 or above (ideally level 5)
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification advantageous
  • 5-7+ years experience as a Technician/Engineer in a mechanical production role.
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • 2+ years experience as a manager of a department (ideally in engineering)
  • Experience 5+ years of team working (5 or more people)
  • Ideally have 5 GCSEs including Maths & English and Science (C or above)
  • A very good working knowledge of Windows and MS Office (MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel most importantly)
  • Ideally, experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP System or similar software.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:.0am – 3.30pm

You will deliver manufacturing targets by ensuring the process equipment is maintained to a world-class standard. The maintenance group will assist in projects to deliver quality, productivity, safety and cost reductions.

What you will do:

  • Ensure manufacturing process equipment is available and maintained to the correct standard.
  • Participate in multi-functional projects taking on and delivering specific actions and tasks.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and repair equipment to ensure day to day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Complete essential preventative maintenance tasks, and be willing to work shifts when required.
  • Analyse daily equipment metrics and use data-driven decisions to improve processes and generate reports to document.
  • Work with other departments to develop and improve current process equipment and systems to deliver change and improve key metrics.

Requirements:

  • Good Electro-Mechanical knowledge of process and equipment maintenance. (Multi-skilled candidates will also be considered).
  • Working knowledge of control systems including Siemens. (Would be desirable but not essential).
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within a precision engineering manufacturing environment would be desirable but not essential. (Candidates from FMCG, Food processing or Distillery will also be considered).
  • Previous experience of working within a team delivering projects is essential.
  • As a minimum an HNC, 18th Edition or Time-Served.

Due to continued growth and succession planning our client has an opportunity for an individual to join their team. The company operates a small but extremely busy Turning Department equipped with CNC Turning centres, Sliding Head and Multi-spindle Auto Lathes. Storage and distribution of raw materials is a critical part of their operation.

Scope:

You will work a permanent dayshift. Daily duties will be aligned with the company’s operational needs for the appropriate raw materials to be available at their point of use as scheduled by production. The team will comprise of two employees.

You will need previous experience in the use of a counterbalance forklift/Combi lift.

Role:

  • Loading materials (in bar or billet form) to the Lathes and moving bar stock from our High Bay Warehouse Facility to the Turning Cell.
  • Palletising finished work in preparation for shipment to Heat Treatments and protecting using waterproof film.
  • Clearing swarf and chips from machines and emptying chip bins into scrap metal skips.
  • Unloading/loading commercial vehicles.
  • Machine minding and carrying out fettling and deburring operations.
  • Verifying incoming raw materials by checking weight, bar sizes and specification.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7.30 – 16.00
  • Friday: 7.30 – 15.00.
  • 39-hours per week.

Additional hours at overtime rates are available to suit business demands.
