You will be responsible for the administration and coordination of technical project specifications and documentation across a busy Technical Department, and liaising with internal and external project stakeholders.

Duties include:

• Providing administrative support within the department as the business demands
• Working as part of a busy integral team
• Administrating live project documents and notifications
• Liaising with clients, Area Technical Managers and Site Technicians
• Reviewing, processing and producing project documents including inspection reports and guarantees
• Assisting other team members when required
• Using the purpose-built database, Word and Excel

You will need to be flexible to work additional hours when required.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to provide support to Clients and Area Technical Sales Managers within a specialised environment.

The role involves analysis of specifications against client and technical requirements such as material compatibility and suitability, analysis of survey reports, checking for inconsistencies in the proposal, production of calculations relative to waterproofing design, and production of technical drawings and PV design.

You will be technically minded and originate from a Construction Industry/Architectural background. You will also be computer literate with the ability to understand specifications, maintain an analytical approach with a keen eye for detail and have the ability to communicate well at all levels.

Outline of responsibilities/duties:

• Checking of all incoming specification types produced for all waterproofing systems, against suitability and compatibility.
• Checking of survey reports.
• Understanding of Industry Codes of Practice/Building Regulations.
• Dealing with telephone enquiries.
• Checking and understanding specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings.
• Understanding of Part L and Thermal Calculations.

Key attributes:

• A good level of spelling and grammar is essential.
• Technically minded, logical and precise, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Analytical approach.
• Able to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Approachable and diplomatic.

Job specification:

• CAD experience is advantageous but not essential.
